- this small hotel is in a perfect location in the "less developed" part of Kawaguchi city, which means less busy, absolutely quiet during the night - the bus stop is just 2 minutes of walk from the hotel - there is a 7Eleven shop literally on the other side of the road, open 24 hours per day - self-check out and check in should not be a problem - if you have difficulties with understanding very simple set of directions in English, do not travel around the world and stay at home - staff was very welcoming and I could work every day in peace without cleaning, which I requested - walkable distance from the shores of the lake, I worked there every morning from the bench with beautiful views - unbeatable price/room size ratio in the whole area (I visited it many times in times, so I can compare)

the room! with bed & tatami option! even with the table & seating seat thus we were able to grab food from 7-11 just next door and eat in room, even better was - there's microwave in the room!! unlike most places the microwave is in common area! staffs were very responsive and helpful even via whatsapp. location was great, just opposite museum of art / music museum.. had bicycle (non-electric) for rent, thus we were able to get from hostel to town area and stop at all the tourist spots without having to use the omni bus (which operates on limited hours every day). the room we got (corner room, js above the main entrance) has 2 windows that can let us peek at mt fuji, while one of the window is facing 7-11, thats how near and convenient it is!

We stayed for 4 nights, and were lucky enough to get a room with a spare sofa bed and a view of Mr Fuji. The hostel is on the red tourist bus line but set bank from the main road so you feel like you get a break from the tourist crush of cherry blossom season. With a 7-11 right outside the door and a coin laundry a couple of blocks away, we had everything we needed.

Amazing hotel, will definitely stay here again. I would love to see it during the winter months. Staff were absent a lot but very friendly and contactable via whatsapp and email. Rooms were excellent. Rustic but clean and very comfortable. It was great having a 7/11 just outside too for late night snacks or early morning breakfasts.

Good location. Able to see Mt Fuji from the room and lake kawaguchiko is just 2-3 mins walk away. There's also a 7-11 right infront of the accommodation. The staff even helped to carry our luggage up the stairs the day we check-in. Tip: Those taking Red Line Bus, get off at bus stop 15 instead of bus stop 14. The walk is shorter.
